We understand that we must show the true image of the Blessed Virgin Mary in order to fulfill Mary's request for reparation to Her Immaculate Heart on the First Saturdays of the Month. SHE is the best and most tender Mother. However, SHE is also the Mighty Queen of Heaven and Earth who ruthlessly crushes Satan. To prepare the Triumph of Her Immaculate Heart the Fatima Secretariat needs your spiritual support!   Ks. Krzysztof Czapla SAC
THE DESIRE IS TO UNITE POLAND AND THE WORLD IN THE DEVOTION OF FIRST SATURDAYS WITH THE IMMACULATE HEART OF OUR MOTHER The desire is for all of Poland to be united on the first Saturdays with the Immaculate Mother's Heart. All of us, because Poland our homeland and the Church were all consecrated and we devoted ourselves in parishes and families to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Therefore, all of us have a duty to fulfill the obligations incurred by consecrating ourselves to Immaculate Heart of Mary. "When in 1856 Polish immigrants in Paris celebrated the 200th anniversary of John Casimir's Vows the Polish preacher Fr. Alexnder Jełowicki discussed the duty of man to the vows earlier committed. He came to the conclusion that Poland has fallen apart (partitioned) because the nation did not fulfill its sworn commitments. " In 1946, the following words were again recalled: "Three months ago, the Catholic Polish nation again at the foot of Our Lady of Czestochowa at Jasna Góra made new vows which content is known to all. So let us not repeat the error of the past by not fulfilling the obligations incurred by the vow. In contrary, let us now move on from the words to the deeds, to a truly Catholic life in the family, in society. This is what the Immaculate Conception - Mary demands of us today. " - Fr. A. Marchewka, Immaculate calls for action, Sunday Catholic Weekly , 1946. The timespan of continual prayer is indicated in the very message of Fatima: - until peace comes to the world,- until Russia is converted and its mistakes will not spill in the world,- until the triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart comes.
CALL OF GOD In 1712 Saint Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort writes: "God in these times wishes his Blessed Mother to be more known, loved and honoured than She has ever been ” REPEATED REQUEST OF GOD The expression used by Saint Louis was almost literally repeated to Sister Lucy by Mary in Fatima in the year 1917: "Jesus wishes to make use of you to make me known and loved " THE WILL OF GOD The special meaning that emerges from the words of Saint Louis, Fatima Apparitions and the desires of God's Heart are a guidepost for us. The will of God is for the Mother of the Son to be more known and loved. „God in these times wishes his Blessed Mother to be more known, loved and honoured than she has ever been " These words of Saint Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort outline the central theme of theTreatise on True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin. And what do we find in the content of the Message of Fatima? In Lucia's account of the appearance of Our Lady on June 13, 1917, we read: „I would like to ask you to take us to heaven.- Yes, I shall take Jacinta and Francisco soon, but you will remain here for some time yet Jesus wishes to use you in order to make me known and loved. . He wishes to establish devotion to my Immaculate Heart in the world. I promise salvation to those who embrace it; and these souls will be beloved of God like flowers arranged by me to adorn His throne”. - Memories of S. Lucy from Fatima. Identical is the purpose of the Treaty written by Saint Louis and the message we received through the Three Fatima Shepherds. It is God's will that Mary be more known and loved. The expression used by Saint Louis, almost literally, was repeated by Mary in Fatima. With the difference that Saint Louis writes about the fact that Mary should be more venerated than ever before and describes in the Treatise the general form of devotion. Whilst in Fatima a devotion is also established, with the exception that God wants to establish the specific devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, at the same time giving its very precise structure. - „You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.”. - - Fatima - July 13, 1917 „On the occasion of the religious ceremonies which are taking place at this time in honor of the Virgin Mother of God in Fatima, Portugal, where she is venerated by countless numbers of the faithful for her motherly and compassionate Heart, we wish to call the attention of all sons of the Church once more to the indissoluble link between the spiritual motherhood of Mary, so amply illustrated in the (council's) Dogmatic Constitution on the Church Lumen Gentium and the duties of redeemed men toward her, the Mother of the Church. . Before such splendor of virtue, the first duty of all those who recognize in the Mother of Christ the model of the Church, is to unite themselves to her in giving thanks to the Most High for working great things in Mary for the benefit of all mankind. But this is not enough. It is also the duty of all the faithful to pay as tribute to the most faithful handmaid of the Lord, a veneration of praise, of gratitude and of love because, by a wise and mild divine provision, her free consent and her generous cooperation in the designs of God had, and still have, a great influence in the attainment of human salvation(33). Therefore every Christian must make St. Anselm's prayer his own: "Oh, glorious Lady, grant that through you we may deserve to ascend to Jesus, your Son, who through you deigned to descend among us”. - Paul VI, Signum Magnum, p. 7. The unusual expression that emerges from: the words of Saint Louis; the Church's guidelines; and the desires of God's Heart are all guideposts for us. God's will is for the Mother of His Son to be more known and loved. Is love for God not expressed in keeping His commandments? Thereby is it not beautiful and necessary to express love for the Mother by fulfilling her requests?
WE DIRECTLY DESIRE TO FULFILL THE FATIMA CALLS OF OUR LADY GUIDELINES FROM THE ANGEL OF FATIMA. The angel gives us a hint of what to do. In order for the world, Poland, to properly interpret the guidelines concerning the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, we need to make daily sacrifices, fast, do mortification, practice penance out of everything that is possible We need to open hearts, undertake acts with love, with the awareness of the very specific intention We are driven by the desire to fulfill the call of Our Lady of Fatima, who calls for the daily prayer of the Rosary and for the devotion to Her Immaculate Heart, that is, sacrifice and reparation on the First Saturdays of the month. If people fulfill these wishes of Mary, then there will be peace in the world, Russia will convert and there will be the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Our Lady. How great and wonderful these promises are. However, let us note that before the Fatima Shepherds - Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco - received and undertook with great zeal the way of saving sinners, indicated by the Beautiful Lady from Heaven, they went through the formation under the guidance of the Guardian Angel of Portugal. This path is an indication for us that we can not omit it if we want to participate in the plan which Our Lady outlines. „Suddenly, we saw the same Angel right beside us:-What are you doing? he asked. “Pray! Pray very much! The Hearts of Jesus and Mary have designs of mercy on you. Offer prayers and sacrifices constantly to the Most High.”-How are we to make sacrifices? - I asked.-Make of everything you can a sacrifice and offer it to God as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended and in supplication for the conversion of sinners . You will thus draw down peace upon your country. I am its Guardian Angel, the angel of Portugal. Above all, accept and bear with submission, the sufferings which the Lord will send you.” - Memories of s. Lucy from Fatima. We can not ignore or misuse this fundamental guideline given by the Angel to the Shepherds, preparing them for a meeting with the Mother of God. If the Angel mission is to educate, then it is necessary to properly read the content of the call of Our Lady of Fatima. For such reason, so that the world, Poland, would correctly read the indications concerning the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Moreover, we also need to daily sacrifice, fast, mortificate, practice penance from everything that is possible. The angel does not indicate to the Little Shepherds how many times a day or for what period of time, what exactly should they do on a given day. He describes the attitude, not letters of the law, of an open heart with acts undertaken with love and the consciousness of a very precise intention. We set ourselves the requirements outlined not only by law and rule, but by heart. We are driven by the desire to do what is possible and not to waste even the smallest crumb of goodness. How often lonely, disabled, sick and the elderly people are confused about not being able to do nothing more for others. On the contrary, blessed with adherance to a conscious intention their hardship, suffering, loneliness, and pain can become a precious sacrifice, like the sacrifice and suffering of little Jacinta for which John Pail II thanked during her beatification in 2000. He thanked for her prayer which took place at a time when Karol Wojtyła was not born yet. One can only imagine how many of these undiscovered „treasures” are in our families, homes, hospitals and nursing homes. Sometimes one would like more, but let's think about whether quantity has more value. An Intention of love can give great value to small things. This is what Jesus Himself says to Sister Lucia: „It is true, my daughter, that many souls begin the First Saturdays, but few finish them, and those who do complete them do so in order to receive the graces that are promised thereby. It would please me more if they did Five with fervor and with the intention of making reparation to the Heart of your heavenly Mother, than if they did Fifteen, in a tepid and indifferent manner”. - Memories of S. Lucy from Fatima.
ONE SPECIFIC INTENTION AS THE SIGN OF UNITY One intention is a clear signpost to unite us in order not to lose sight of the essence and desire to act in response to the guidelines from Our Lady. WE FIGHT IN ONE INTENTION We are in great numbers in Poland and abroad. Analogous to a big army there is the necessity for a one concrete and coherent order. One specific intention as a sign of unity. If one wants everything then one can lose everything. What is important is that one intention is to be the clear signpost to unite us in order not to lose sight of the essence if we desire to act effectively in response to the guidelines from Our Lady.Since there are great numbers of people in Poland and abroad, in order for us to unite the common denominator can not be characterized by multiplicity. Therefore, just as for a large army, one specific and coherent command is necessary. "Above all, you must pray for the whole people: that is, for the whole body, for every part of your mother the Church, whose distinguishing feature is mutual love. If you ask for something for yourself then you will be praying for yourself only – and you must remember that more grace comes to one who prays for others than to any ordinary sinner. If each person prays for all people, then all people are effectively praying for each. In conclusion, if you ask for something for yourself alone, you will be the only one asking for it; but if you ask for benefits for all, all in their turn will be asking for them for you. For you are in fact one of the “all.” Thus it is a great reward, as each person’s prayers acquire the weight of the prayers of everyone. There is nothing presumptuous about thinking like this: on the contrary, it is a sign of greater humility and more abundant fruitfulness." . - z from the Treatise of Saint Ambrose, Bishop, About Cain and Abel (Lib. 1,9,34-39 CSEL 32, 369. 371-372)
Our Lady's calls to the world in Fatima The way of saving the world. A. Penance; conscious formulation of intention in prayer, in accepting suffering and in penitential works. „Make everything you can a sacrifice. Offer them to GOD as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and to ask for the conversion of sinners. [...] I am the Angel of Portugal. Bear and accept with submission the sufferings GOD will send you”. ( Angel - Fatima - 1916.) „Sacrifice yourselves for sinners and say many times, especially when you make some sacrifice, “O Jesus, it for love of You, for the conversion of sinners and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary”. (Our Lady - Fatima - 1917.) B. Daily prayer of the Rosary. „Pray the Rosary every day", "Continue to say the Rosary every day”. (Our Lady - Fatima – 1917.) C. Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. At least once a year on the Feast of Queenship of Mary (August 22). „My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God”. (Our Lady - Fatima - 1917.) D. Salary on the Five First Saturdays of the month; i.e. admit to confession with the intention of reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, receive Holy Communion, recite one set of the Rosary and make a 15-minute meditation. „I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays.” "If My requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace”. (Our Lady - Fatima - 1917.)„Say that I promise to assist at the hour of death, with the graces necessary for salvation, all those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive months, […] keep me company […] with the intention of making reparation to Me.” […] (Our Lady - Fatima – 13.06.1917.)
It is time to genuflect and begin with prayer, since this is always the way to beginning of good.  The timely Call of the Mother of God, which is still not fully known, as well as taken up and implemented. „We would be mistaken to think that Fatima’s prophetic mission is complete. Here there takes on new life the plan of God which asks humanity from the beginning: “Where is your brother Abel […] Your brother’s blood is crying out to me from the ground!” (Gen 4:9). Mankind has succeeded in unleashing a cycle of death and terror, but failed in bringing it to an end… In sacred Scripture we often find that God seeks righteous men and women in order to save the city of man and he does the same here, in Fatima, when Our Lady asks: “Do you want to offer yourselves to God, to endure all the sufferings which he will send you, in an act of reparation for the sins by which he is offended and of supplication for the conversion of sinners?” . Benedict XVI, Fatima, 13 May, 2010. The popes Pius XII, Paul VI, John Paul II, Benedict XVI, Francis consecrated according to the request of the Mother of God: the world, the Church, Russia, the priests. Various countries of Europe and the world were consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Poland consecrated twice in acts of 1946 and 2017. The compensation in the dimension of the Five First Saturdays is indissolubly connected with the act of sacrifice. Poland and the Church in our Homeland, all parishes, have been consecrated to the Heart of Mary, However, is the reparation trough the Five First Saturdays Devotion made in equal universal dimension? We know the answer is no and we strive to raise reparation to a higher level.„Let's undertake the Message from Fatima! The Message of Fatima is repeatedly directed to the universal Church. The acceptance of the message from Fatima is upmost expressed in practicing the Five First Saturdays Devotion. Anyone who for five consecutive First Saturdays will: be in the state of sanctifying grace; receive Holy Communion; pray a set of the Holy Rosary; contemplate in unity with the Mother of God mysteries of the Rosary with the intention of rewarding for the sins of the world, then the person will not be only a passive viewer but an active participant in this Message. ”. - Letter from the Polish Episcopate on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Fatima Apparitions - May 21, 2017We all need the light, humbleness, open heart to the voice of God, in order to practice His will, and not our own. We also need spiritual strength and zeal so that passing time does not extinguish the fire in our hearts, so that solely human and purely rational methods will not prevail in saving sinners and in striving for peace in the world. Such character virtues may emerge out of prayer, especially joint prayer. „Again, truly I say to you that if two of you on earth agree concerning any matter which they may ask, it will be done for them by My Father in the heavens. For where two or three have been gathered-together in My name, I am there in the midst of them”. Mt 18: 19-20 We will not change the situation and even more the world by asking endless questions: why is it so and not otherwise? It is time to genuflect and start from prayer because what is good always begins from prayer. To receive, one must ask, this is the way Jesus teaches us in the Gospel „Be asking, and it will be given to you; be seeking, and you will find; be knocking, and it will be opened to you. For everyone asking receives; and the one seeking finds; and to the one knocking, it will be opened.” Mt 7, 7-8.
At any time, make and join with this Intention any good such as: prayer, sacrifice, fasting and mortification. Firstable. We can not forget that all our spiritual acts that we undertake are meaningful in as much we act in conviction of their connection to an intention. For example, the question may be asked: is it sufficient enough to only express words in prayer or to fast on a Friday by only abstaining from eating meat? That is, if there is no intention connected with a good which we undertake in action, in thought and in a word, then we act insufficeintly . To exemplify this is accomplishing something as writing a beautiful letter without a recipient. For this reason, the essence of the Crusade is to consciously accentuate the intention: "That Mary would be more known and loved; that her Call from Fatima would be known and embraced in the world."Secondly. Such a form of prayer storm is possible for each and every person without exception. On the one hand, it opens new horizons for us in the perception of prayer, and on the other, it does not limit us in our decisions and expressions of love for Mary. The Crusade is an invitation to any – in regards to place, time and form – prayer, penance, fasting, mortification, works of mercy or, for example, sacrifices of everyday life, but always undertaken in this one particular intention. Thus, the essence of the work is to focus not on what and how much to do, but on connecting the intention,Thus, the essence of the work is to focus not on what and how much to do. However, make emphasis on connecting to the intention while carrying it in the heart with any good undertaken for love of Mary.Thirdly. Such a path has already been indicated to us by the Primate of the Millennium, Fr. Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński. „Should we not combine in prayer, the spirit of penance and remuneration, small offerings, mortifications, voluntary refrainments and sacrifices? This is what the Holy Mother Herself asks for, alike in Lourdes, in La Salette and in Fatima! And you know well how many fruitful sacrifices can be made for the good of our person, our families' and society! Conrtrol over tongue and mouth, increasing sensitivity towards others, improving work style and ethics, abstaining from alcoholic beverages and smoking, reduction of unnecessary expenses for personal pleasure. Refraining from addictions and bad habitudes sometimes so cost consuming, ruining the health and budget of families – it is a long litany of opportunities for penance and remuneration for the sea of sins that harm us all.” We have so many opportunities to do good without imposing additional obligations, as it is sufficient to carry the intention in our hearts. Let us, therefore, share one common intention.
„That Mary would be more known and loved; that her Call from Fatima would be known and embraced in the world”. „Jesus wishes to make use of you to make me known and loved. He wants to establish in the world the devotion to My Immaculate Heart. To whoever embraces this devotion I promise salvation; these souls shall be dear to God, as flowers placed by Me to adorn His throne”. (Our Lady - Fatima - 1917.)
To unify all Poland and the world with the Immaculate Heart of Mary on the first Saturdays of the month. Primarily. The One Intention Crusade is an initiative, that is emerging on the foundation of the Great Novena of Fatima. Thus, it has as its source in the concern for the development and deepening of the Fatima devotion. For the inspiration here is one fundamental idea. If the „spirit of the Fatima message" is the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, therefore in Poland, which was consecrated twice to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, such devotion should acquire a completely different value. However, this should not be about spreading another form of Marian devotion, but about fulfilling the obligations arising from the act of consecration. This was strongly emphasized both in 1946 and in 2017 by the Polish Episcopate, so as not to act passively but participate actively in the Message of Fatima. And such participation occurs in as much one practices the Five First Saturdays Devotion. To unify all Poland and the world with the Immaculate Heart of Mary on the first Saturdays of the month. Secondarily. Through a different form of prayer but the same intention "that Mary would be more known and loved; that her Call from Fatima would be known and embraced in the world", the Crusade sets itself the following goals: constant reminder of the essence, updates and meaning of the requests of Our Lady of Fatima,to arouse concern, by reviving the memory that the path of Fatima was undertaken by Poland and the Church in our Homeland as an act of consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1946 and 2017,contribute to the unification of Poland: prayer apostolates, apostolic movements, religious conventual assemblies, parishes, institutions, schools and faithful, around one idea - important for all of us and indicated in the Polish Episcopate's Letter on the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, moreover, constant prayer is essential for the effort, initiated by the Act of the Consecration of Poland to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, to develop through constant practice in the parishes of the Five First Saturdays of the Month Devotion. Tertiarily. Awareness of what is happening around us does not allow us to be indifferent to the words of Sister Lucy, which she addressed to John Paul II after the assassination attempt in 1982: „The third part of the secret is a symbolic revelation, referring to this part of the Message, conditioned by whether we accept or not what the Message itself asks of us: «If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, etc.'». Since we did not heed this appeal of the Message, we see that it has been fulfilled, Russia has invaded the world with her errors”.
